Hello everyone,
First I would like to say that I decided to do this blog because, unfortunately, this semester, I am not teaching kids anymore, only adults. I really miss teaching children! That’s why I decided to upload this photo from my good times.
I thought I could start writing about something personal. I remember when I was a little girl (I’m still little for that matters… :S )… anyway, I remember that when I was about 10, me and my friends were learning vocabulary related to ‘asking food/drinks’. So, we went to the shopping centre and we actually bought hamburgers and cokes. And something that has to be highlighted here is that we were all speaking English. My English course hired some people to speak English there. It was incredible and I always remember that moment. What I want to say is that teachers should always try to make the structure / vocabulary seen useful and suitable in real situations!

What a lovely story, Cindi! I also have lovely memories as a child lerning foreign languages. My godmother used to teach me short phrases in French... 'vous etes ma petite puppet', and my favourite uncle a few English words through The Beatles. It takes me back... Thanks!
