Are you teaching 'weather'?
Here we have a nice idea for an extension activity.
T divides them in pairs or trios and tell them that they are going to be on TV doing the weather forecast part.
First, they have to come up with the 'script' in their groups. "It's sunny in Sergipe but I can see some clouds in São Paulo..." They should be creative!
Then put a map on the IWB behind them or you can use a poster of Brazil's map.
Videotape each group presenting their forecast.
Ss have fun by watching each others' moments of glory.
I hope you find this tip really useful.
See you!

Tip 1: my own experience as a learner when I was a child
Hello everyone,
First I would like to say that I decided to do this blog because, unfortunately, this semester, I am not teaching kids anymore, only adults. I really miss teaching children! That’s why I decided to upload this photo from my good times.
I thought I could start writing about something personal. I remember when I was a little girl (I’m still little for that matters… :S )… anyway, I remember that when I was about 10, me and my friends were learning vocabulary related to ‘asking food/drinks’. So, we went to the shopping centre and we actually bought hamburgers and cokes. And something that has to be highlighted here is that we were all speaking English. My English course hired some people to speak English there. It was incredible and I always remember that moment. What I want to say is that teachers should always try to make the structure / vocabulary seen useful and suitable in real situations!
